My Story
Hello, I’m Melissa! I’ve been passionate about photography for as long as I can remember. I started out around nine years ago with portrait photography as a hobby; and slowly worked myself up to where I am now. Around five years ago; I was lucky enough to go freelance specialising in interiors and property photography and what a journey it has been so far! I am originally from a little village called Silverdale in Lancashire, but now live and operate my business in the South Lakes and throughout Cumbria.
You may find the style of my work slightly different to some others photographers as I’ve always tried to portray natural and traditional styles in my work which you can see in my full portfolio here. If you’d like to book a shoot then please don’t hesitate to get in touch, even just to say hello! I’m based on the southern border of the Lake District but work all around the North West.

I would highly recommend Melissa for her wonderful photography and for being such a lovely relaxed person to work with on a photo shoot. We had a pet photo shoot of our dog, Sandie, and Melissa captured our dogs character and beauty in her work. The photos have provided us with a beautiful keepsake that will give us wonderful memories – thank you Melissa x

Melissa has just taken photos for our re-opening of our B&B after lockdown and I cannot recommend her enough. She is amazing!
The rooms all look fantastic in the photos we received (very quickly) and it’s just what we need for our website and various social media and booking channels. On a personal level Melissa is friendly, professional, and very easy to communicate with about what you want. Thank you Melissa

Melissa captured our photos of our dog, Merlin, just perfectly. She went above and beyond to capture such beautiful photos that we will treasure forever
How Melissa managed to get so many photos of a very bouncy and hyper, 6 months old cocker spaniel puppy, we’ll never know.
Absolutely recommend to anyone

5* all round.
Melissa has done a number of photoshoots for my holiday letting agency, Tarn & Fell Escapes, and I have been incredibly impressed with the results of them all.
Not only is Melissa friendly and approachable, but the skill of her photography is exceptional. In circumstances where I have given Melissa a brief, she has exceeded my expectations and time and again she has impressed me with the images she’s supplied me with. Her photographs are always excellent quality and her turnaround time is remarkable – in every instance we have worked together, I have had the photos back ON THE SAME DAY!
I would have no hesitation in recommending Melissa and her work, and very much look forward to working with her again soon. Thank you for helping create my vision.
